Michele Alexander enters her fifth season as the head coach of Roosevelt softball in 2025.

Under Alexander's coaching, the Lakers have made the conference tournament in all four seasons, including a pair of deep runs. Alexander has mentored 17 all-conference players, including four first-team honorees and two Gold Glove winners. She has also helped the softball program register more than 20 NAIA Scholar-Athletes and seven College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honorees while boasting one of the best team GPAs at Roosevelt.

Alexander arrived in Chicago right before the 2022 season after taking the head coaching job at Alverno College (Wis.), the previous September. She served as an assistant varsity softball coach at Lockport Township High School during the spring 2021 season after being a graduate assistant and assistant softball coach at Concordia University Chicago, her alma mater, from 2017-2020.  In addition, Alexander is part of the Bo Jackson Elite Sports and Chicago Cheetahs Fastpitch organizations, where she is head coach of the U-18 age group and serves as a catching instructor and clinic supervisor.

As a student-athlete, Alexander was a four-year starter at Concordia-Chicago and earned All-NACC First Team honors for her performance in the 2015 season. She graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science and Fitness Management in 2017 and earned her Masters of Arts in Psychology in 2020.
