Roosevelt University

Patton Fitzpatrick was elevated to defensive coordinator for the 2025 season after serving as Roosevelt's linebackers coach for the 2024 season.

A native of Palatine, Fitzpatrick joined the Lakers after spending the last four seasons coaching against Roosevelt in the Mid-States Football Association. In 2023, Fitzpatrick was the linebackers coach at St. Francis (Ill.) where he helped the Fighting Saints set school records for fewest points and fewest yards allowed.

Prior to arriving in Joliet, he was the defensive coordinator and linebackers coach at Judson for two seasons. He was a graduate assistant for the Eagles in 2020 after playing four years at the University of St. Thomas, where he won three conference championships and reached the NCAA Division III quarterfinals twice.
