C.J. Davis

C.J. Davis enters his sixth season with Roosevelt in 2024, and serves as the Assistant Head Coach, Co-Offensive Coordinator, Recruiting Coordinator, and Offensive Line coach for the Lakers.

During Coach Davis’s tenure the offensive line has paved the way for some of the best rushing attacks in the nation during his time with the program. In 2023, Tyler Tenner ranked sixth in the nation in yards per game as he eclipsed 1,000 yards on the ground in just nine games. The 2021 fall season saw the Lakers receive a ranking as high as 16th in the nation. The Lakers had two of the top five rushers in the MSFA-West conference and the eighth leading rusher in the NAIA.

In Davis’s first year as the offensive line coach in the spring of 2021, the Lakers running game had the second leading rusher in the NAIA and the second best rushing attack in the MSFA Midwest. During his tenure, Davis has mentored seven all-conference selections.

Davis came to Roosevelt in 2019 after playing at Denison University in Granville, Ohio. Coach Davis earned his bachelor’s degree in global commerce from Denison University in 2019 and went on to earn a master’s degree in business administration from Roosevelt University in 2020.
