KENOSHA, Wis. – Roosevelt finished the regular season Sunday with a goalless draw against Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference rival Parkside in Kenosha, Wis.
There was not much action from either side with just three shots landing on target over the course of the 90 minutes.
Jakob Mathews kept the shutout with two saves while

The Lakers (9-3-5, 7-2-3 GLIAC) were already assured of the No. 2 seed in the conference tournament and played a deeper bench than normal. Mathews earned his second start of the season in goal while several players earned their first career starts.
Filippos Lakiotis played 55 minutes on defense in his first start while
Erik Hernandez played 61 in his first career start.
Denis Barrett earned the start for his first playing time of the season and played 74 minutes.
Fynn Mewes had two shot attempts in 45 minutes of action, but still finished as the league leader in goals with 10 on the season. Niziolek was the only other player with more than one shot attempt in Sunday's match as the Lakers attempted just nine shots in the contest. Parkside had 16 attempts but only two landed on frame.
UP NEXT: Roosevelt earned a bye in the GLIAC Tournament as the second seed, so the Lakers will return to the field Nov. 14 in the semifinals at Saginaw Valley State against the winner of Northern Michigan vs. Purdue Northwest.
