LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Roosevelt took part in a two-tournament weekend hosted by Purdue in Lafayette, Ind. with a traditional five-game team event on Saturday then a tournament of 25 Baker games on Sunday.

The Lakers finished in eighth place in both events, putting them square in the middle of the 15-team event on both days. In Saturday's team event, the Lakers averaged 188 for a total of 4,699 pins in their eighth place finish. Individually, Troy Welker led Roosevelt with a 16^th-place finish with an average of 209. Freshman Ke'jon Miller was next in 37th place with a 195 average followed by graduate student Kendrick Wilson in 40th with an average of 191. Rounding out the squad were freshmen Joseph Diaz and Jay Schofield, who finished 57^th and 67^th, respectively, with averages of 175 and 170.

In the Baker tournament on Sunday, the Lakers averaged 182 per game, which was still good enough for a middle of the pack finish.
