INDIANAPOLIS – Roosevelt's strong start on the lanes propelled the Lakers to a 17
th-place finish at the Columbia 300 Western Shootout over the weekend in Indianapolis.
The Lakers broke 1,000 in both of their first two team games Saturday before cooling off in the latter half of the day to find themselves in 20
th. Sunday's baker games were another stronger outing for Roosevelt, bumping it up into 17
th place at the event's conclusion.
Graduate student
Kendrick Wilson paced the Lakers in the event with an average of 210, good for 46
th place among individuals.
Troy Welker finished 52
nd with an average of 209 and Ke'jon Miller was close behind with a 204 average for 75
th position. Freshman
Jay Schofield bowled a 189 average to finish 109
th.
