Box Score CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The Roosevelt University men's soccer team traveled six hours south to take on Campbellsville University, dropping the non-conference contest by the score of 2-1 on Wednesday, September 7. The loss evened the Lakers' record at 1-1 overall early in the season.
The Tigers struck first with a goal in the 29th minute to take a 1-0 lead, but the Lakers quickly answered back, tying the game just over two minutes later on Charlie Brown's first goal of the year. Campbellsville regained the lead late in the first half on a header in the 44th minute to take a 2-1 lead into the half-time break.
The second half was an even affair between the two teams with the home squad holding a slight 7-5 edge in shots. However, neither team was able to find the back of the net again, and the Lakers suffered their first loss of the 2022 campaign.
