NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The Roosevelt University men's soccer team traveled to Notre Dame, Ind. to square off against Holy Cross College in a CCAC Conference contest, battling to a scoreless draw on Tuesday, October 11 at Saints Field.  The Lakers are now 4-3-1 in conference play and 5-5-1 overall on the year.

The two teams' defenses played strong games limiting shots and scoring opportunities in each half.  In the first half, the Lakers held the advantage in shots by a 7-4 margin, but the Saints were able to force RU goalkeeper Mario Graciano to make two saves to one save by Claudio Fuentealba, the HCC goalkeeper.

Holy Cross had a slight advantage in offensive chances in the second half with four shot taken to two by the Lakers.  However, once again Fuentealba was up to the task, as was Eric Carvajal for Roosevelt, who subbed in for Graciano and played the second half in goal.

KEY STATS

• Oskar Schuster led the Lakers with three shots with one on goal
• Mario Graciano made one save in 45 minutes played in goal in the first half
• Eric Carvajal also had one save in the second half in 45 minutes played
• RU had a slight 9-8 edge in shots over HCC
• The Lakers had four corner kicks in the contest while holding the Saints to none
