MILWAUKEE – The Roosevelt University women's volleyball team closed out the 2020-21 season with a straight set loss to Cardinal Stritch University in a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) match on Thursday, April 1.
The Wolves broke a 12-12 tie in the first set with seven straight points to vault ahead 19-12 and held off the Lakers for a 25-19 opening set win. The second set was a competitive one with the Lakers only trailing by one point late at 19-18. However, the Wolves outscored Roosevelt 6-2 down the stretch to win 25-20 and take a 2-0 match lead. In the third set, Cardinal Stritch built a 9-3 lead early on and continued the momentum to win the stanza 25-14 to close out the match.
