Box Score ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. – The Roosevelt University men's soccer team earned a CCAC Conference victory with a 3-0 win over Holy Cross College (Ind.) on Wednesday, October 13 at Morris Field. The victory raised the Lakers conference record to 5-4 and evened their overall record at 5-5-1 on the year.
The first half was a scoreless affair with the Saints having a slight 5-2 edge in shots during the first 45 minutes of play.
The second half was more of the same until the Lakers found the back of the net in the 73rd minute with Carmel Saboutey Tettey knocking in a Sebastian Rodriguez corner kick for a 1-0 lead. That lead stayed intact into the final few minutes of the game when RU scored two goals in a 50-second span to seal the 3-0 victory. Eduardo Hernandez gave the Lakers a 2-0 advantage at the 86:04 mark off an Omar Flores assists, and then Sebastian Padilla made it a 3-0 contest at the 86:54 mark with Eduardo Hernandez earning the assist.
