Shooting Struggles Hinder Women's Basketball In Loss At No. 13 Indiana Northwest

GARY, Ind. – The Roosevelt women's basketball team struggled scoring against 13th-ranked Indiana Northwest at the Savannah Center Gymnasium on Wednesday night, as the Lakers connected at just a 27 percent clip from the field in a 61-41 loss to the RedHawks.

Chelsey Crippen and Lindzy Cox scored eight points apiece for the Lakers, who fell to 8-6 on the season. Crippen also pulled down a game-high nine rebounds.

Roosevelt trailed by three after one quarter when Indiana Northwest (13-3) outscored the Lakers 22-12 in the second.

The Lakers proceeded to post single-digit outputs in each of the final two periods, as their woes from the offensive end would not allow the Green and White to ignite a comeback.

Roosevelt takes some time off from the court for the holidays before hosting the two-day Roosevelt Classic at the Goodman Center beginning on Dec. 28 against North Central (Ill.) at 7 p.m.
