Lauren Herlihy was hired as the Roosevelt softball coach in June 2026 after three seasons at Olivet Nazarene.
In three seasons with the Tigers, Herlihy won 67 games, including a 30-win season in the 2026 season. She coached 12 total all-conference honorees in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference during her tenure, including six first-team All-CCAC members. Her teams also succeeded in the classroom with numerous academic awards from the NAIA and College Sports Communicators.Â
Prior to joining Olivet Nazarene, Herlihy spent four seasons at North Central as a graduate assistant and later assistant coach. She worked predominantly with the pitchers, helping the staff set the school record for strikeouts in a season in 2022.Â
Herlihy was a four-year letterwinner at Judson, where she was a first-team All-CCAC pitcher for the Eagles. She was named the NCCAA Pitcher of the Year in 2017 and 2018 and was a first-team NCCAA All-American as well in both seasons.Â
