Kayla Morrissey has served as the Athletics Admission Counselor for Roosevelt since August 2023, after previously serving as Assistant Women’s Basketball/Softball Coach at Illinois College.
Morrissey's primary responsibility is to guide first-year and transfer student-athletes and families through the application and enrollment process. She regularly attends athletic department meetings and works closely with athletic department leadership and head coaches.
Morrissey has worked in higher education as an assistant coach for the past four years, making stops at Illinois College and North Central College. Sher earned her MBA at North Central College, her Master’s in Exercise Physiology at the National University of Ireland, Galway, and her BA in General Science at Grinnell College. Morrissey played NCAA Division III basketball and softball at Grinnell College, then continued her basketball career in Ireland through a program called Sport Changes Life.
