Roosevelt University

Josh Walfish joined Roosevelt University in October 2022 as the school's Sports Information Director.

Walfish is a 2014 graduate of Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, Media, Integrated Marketing Communications, and he graduated in 2023 with his Masters in Sports Administration from Northwestern's School of Professional Studies.

Walfish is an active member in College Sports Communicators and serves on the Academic All-America committee. In the past two years, he has helped honor 64 Roosevelt student-athletes as Academic All-District selections by CSC, and sponsored Gabriel Koenig as an Academic All-American and GLIAC Commissioner's Award recipient. 

Prior to returning to Chicago in 2021, Walfish spent eight years as a sports journalist on the East Coast covering high school and college athletics in North Carolina, Virginia and Massachusetts.
