Anthony Maneri joined the Roosevelt dance team staff in July 2026 as an assistant coach, bringing his championship-level choreography and athlete development to the Lakers program.

The Connecticut native has built a national reputation as a hip hop choreographer, contributing to nine collegiate national championship titles while working with some of the country’s most successful dance programs. His choreography has been performed by championship teams at Sam Houston State, Elon and Valdosta State, in addition to numerous other collegiate, high school, and all-star programs. 

In addition to his choreography career, Maneri serves as a judge for Varsity Spirit, evaluating routines at premier championships including UDA High School Nationals, NDA All-Star Nationals, The Dance Worlds, and The Dance Summit. As an NDA Master Instructor, he has also contributed to curriculum development and continues to teach master classes for NDA.

Throughout his career, Maneri has collaborated with professional dance and cheer organizations, including the Atlanta Hawks, Denver Nuggets, Portland Trail Blazers, and numerous other NBA and NFL teams. His professional work reflects the same commitment to creativity, technical excellence, and innovation that has defined his career at every level of the sport.

His coaching philosophy emphasizes creating an inclusive and empowering team environment where student-athletes are challenged to grow as performers, leaders, and individuals while pursuing excellence both on and off the floor.

Maneri earned a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality & Tourism Management from Mitchell College before pursuing a full-time career in dance. He currently resides in Chicago and continues to choreograph, adjudicate, and teach throughout the United States.
