Bob Voight

Roosevelt bowling head coach Bob Voight is entering his fifth year with the Lakers after joining the department during the merger with Robert Morris University Illinois. He spent seven years involved with the Eagles bowling program prior to the merger, and was the head coach for the team's final two seasons at RMU.

He led the RMU women’s program to the 2019 USBC National Championship and the men’s program also has had storied success in the USBC, winning the 2013 national title and finishing as national runner-up in 2018, among its 11 USBC Intercollegiate Championship Tournament appearances.

Voight began his career as a youth league instructor in Waukegan, Ill. and brings four decades of experience to the Lakers Bowling program. Prior to his collegiate coaching career, Voight spent 12 years as a bowling coach at Zion-Benton Township High School in Zion, Ill. and is a member of the Illinois High School Scholastic Bowling Coaches Association. Voight is certified by the United States Bowling Congress, as well as the National Collegiate Bowling Association, and was a member of the USBC Lake County, Ill. Bowling Association Board of Directors for more than 20 years.

Voight is a current resident of Lindenhurst, Ill., where he resides with his wife Lauri, and has three children Brenda, Donald, and Emily.
