The 2024 season will be Frankie Rodriguez's first as the head coach of the Roosevelt cross country program after serving as the interim head coach for the indoor and outdoor track seasons.

Thrust into the limelight during the indoor track season, Rodriguez helped Cristian Martinez qualify for both the indoor and outdoor NAIA Championships while winning CCAC titles in the racewalk. At the conference championship meet during the 2024 outdoor season, the Lakers scored well in the relays and Angela Louis jumped into fourth place in the long jump. 

Rodriguez joined the Lakers for the 2022-23 season as a volunteer assistant before being elevated to assistant coach for the 2023-24 campaign. The Bolingbrook native ran cross country for four years at Robert Morris from 2016-2019 and also ran for the track and field team for three seasons.
