Erica Andrus joined Roosevelt University as the Assistant Dance Coach in February 2023 with more than 30 years of dance training. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor’s of Science in Architecture, and was the Artistic Director for the hip hop dance team, Dance 2XS Michigan. Erica taught at the dance studio where she grew up for seven years and is trained in multiple styles of dance, including ballet, tap, jazz, Hawaiian, contemporary, dance hall and Afro fusion. Erica has been dancing since the age of 3 and competitively since the age of 6, and has earned accolades from multiple competitions and conventions.

Andrus is a member of the professional Hip Hop dance company Boom Crack! Dance Company. She also choreographs for local Hip Hop and R&B artists as well as other professional entertainment artists in Chicago. Erica has been part of many other professional dance companies in Chicago, and she performed with The Puzzle League across China in 2011 for the Chinese Tourism Festival. She has been a choreographer and dancer at We Day, a celebrity-packed performance for children with scholastic and volunteering excellence. She has also performed with the International Afro Beats artist, Afro B.
