Three-time national championship coach Bobby Rinaldi enters his fourth year as head coach of the Roosevelt cheerleading squad after serving as a volunteer assistant during the 2021-22 season.

Rinaldi has made an instant impact on the Lakers with national championships in his first three years at the helm. Roosevelt claimed the title in the Intermediate Small Coed NAIA division at the National Cheer Association College Nationals in 2023 then followed up by defending the title in 2024 and 2025 in Daytona Beach, Fla.

He arrived at Roosevelt after graduating from Texas Tech, where he helped the Red Raiders win the 2019 national championship at the NCA College Nationals. Prior to enrolling at Texas Tech, Rinaldi was at national powerhouse Navarro College, the location for Netflix's docuseries Cheer. While at Navarro, Rinaldi won a world championship with the Cheetahs from Cheer Athletics, an elite cheerleading gym in Texas.

Rinaldi began his cheerleading career at Addison Trail High School in Addison, Ill. and returned to his alma mater as an assistant coach for the 2021-22 season.
